Ad-Ideas……
Nike Ad:

The Ad opens to an Art Gallery Auction where the paintings of a very famous artist are to be auctioned.
People are looking at the paintings and some voices are heard:
Voice 1: There are distinctive influences of neo-classicism in his work.
Voice 2: I think surrealism died with Dali. You just don’t get to see good work in Surrealism any more.
Voice 3: I really wonder, what after him? Who will take his stellar legacy forward?
A bell rings and the announcement is made that the auction is about to begin and that people should get seated.

Auctioneer: Ladies and Gentlemen I welcome you all to this auction. May I present the first work of the evening to be auctioned –
The Pastor . Auction for The Pastor starts at Rs. 50 Lakhs.
Buyer 1: 52 lakhs….
Auctioneer : 52 lakhs, 52 lakhs, 52 lakhs, 52 lakhs- one…
Buyer 2: 53 lakhs…..
Auctioneer : 53 lakhs, 53 lakhs 53 lakhs …
Buyer 1: 55 lakhs…..
Auctioneer: 55 lakhs ..55 lakhs…55 lakhs 55 lakhs one, 55 lakhs two….55 lakhs three……
The Pastor stands sold for 55 lakhs...
Auctioneer: And now the second work of the evening ladies and gentlemen…..
Countdown To Eternity…..
(The auction then goes on until all the paintings are sold until the last and most valuable one)
Auctioneer: Now the last work of the evening ladies and gentlemen…May I present the much talked about and much acclaimed work by the inimitable Sudipto Sen….
“The Heart of the Mind".. bidding starts at..
Ninety lakhs.
Ninety lakhs….Ninety Lakhs….Ninety Lakhs……
Buyer 3: Ninety two lakhs…
Auctioneer: Ninety two lakhs….Ninety two lakhs…..One …Two…
Buyer 4: Ninety five lakhs…
Auctioneer: Ninety five lakhs….Ninety five lakhs…..One …Two…Th
Buyer 1: One Crore Rupees……
Auctioneer (Looking very excited) : One crore ….One Crore
(By this time a cool dude has entered the gallery. He is wearing Nike from top to bottom. He is all of Nike. He is standing at the door of the auction hall and is looking at the proceedings along with his friends. He then looks at the painting and remembers that he had seen the painting in a children's painting exhibition somewhere)
Auctioneer (Now almost shouting from excitement): Ladies and gentlemen ..!! One Crore rupees..
Any one for anything more than One crore?
(Announcing loudly ) Alright then One Crore.—one….One Crore ---Two….One Crore Th..
(Just when The auctioneer is about to say “three” the cool dude exclaims loudly )
Cool Dude (Loudly exclaims):Waaaaaait...
Everyone in the auction turns and looks at the cool dude. There is absolute silence in the gallery.
Sudipto Sen (The painter whose paintings are being auctioned) gets up emphatically keeping his stare on the dude and walks towards him with bold steps. He is now face to face with the dude and staring into his eyes. All eyes in the gallery are now intently trained on the two)
Sudipto Sen Whispers something to the cool dude, they nod to each other and then Sudipto and then gestures for the auction to be completed.
( After the exhibition )
(Sudipto sen to the cool dude): So Sudipto Sen at a children's painting exhibition eh?
Cool dude: I don't know. I mean I just felt that way so I said it. I’m sorry, sorry if I…
(Sudipto Sen cuts him short and says..)

Sudipto:I did not know she had sent it for an exhibition,
Dude: Who???
Sudipto: My Grandaughter..she's going to be eight tomorrow…....
(Then says sofly)..Its a birthday gift..

(Sudipto winks at the cool dude and both burst into laughter )

The last scene shows Sudipto and the cool dude counting wads of cash together and giving each other the high fives.

Nike ….
Just Do It
The idea is to show a Nike wearing dude as someone completely fearless and carefree, and someone who can speak his mind, even if it is in front of so called high-brow intellectualizing people. And I guess it goes with Nike's tag line of "Just do it"
This is the basic story for the ad, it needs to be edited and made much more concise to fit 10 seconds or whatever the duration of a normal ad is).
And I am sorry that I have written this for Nike, a company that has the dubious record with prison labour. I did not know this when I wrote the ad.

I didn't know about Nike's policy of using prison labor when I wrote this ad. My apologies for the political insensitivity. Will soon change the name of the brand.
